     Sunia is the name of a village in the district Banjaran. Why is it called Sunia village?

      Once upon a time, there was a kingdom called Talagamanggung in Talaga area. The Kingdom is led by Queen Sunyalarang, his reign from the year 1500-1550. He is assisted by her husband, Raden Ranggamantri better known as Parunggangsa so in the process of Islamization Talagamanggung kingdom. They claimed to Islam with the guidance of Sunan Gunung Jati and they were given the title Pucuk Umum which means that persistent spreading of Islam Pioneers.
      So, Sunia taken from the name of the queen Sunyalarang = Sunya = Sunia.
